Romeo and Julia are a couple, whose history is exceptionally sad.
They ended up in the animal shelter after they were taken away from their owner – a mentally ill woman. We found there many more dogs – starving, sick, neglected. At first, we took Mika with us, as she needed urgent medical assistance because of her vaginal prolapse.
Soon after we took Mika, we learned about these siblings and their distress. The dogs were taken to the vet’s clinic. Julia, who was in a similar condition to Mika’s, got an immediate surgery. Romeo, who had an extreme anaemia, had partially lost his hair and his skin was covered with scabs, had to undergo a long medical treatment.
Currently, the dogs are together in the hotel. Their sister Mika is staying there, too. They get more trustful and healthier day by day, but they haven’t fully recovered yet.
